Door King Lines

Door King and similar access control systems utilize a telephone line for two purposes:

  1. Programming
  2. Access

The Access calls typically involve calling a tenant's phone number, and requiring them to press a single key to unlock the door. Atlas VOIP services are fully compatible with this use case. The Programming calls, however, utilize a legacy dial-up-modem approach which is not compatible with VOIP services.

Fear not: There is a better (faster, more reliable) way to program your Door King! As long as a CAT5 cable exists between the phone room and the Door King unit, Atlas can install a data adapter. Be sure to let us know if you have a Door King access control system that you intend to use with your Atlas VOIP Services, so that we can include the appropriate adapter with your order!
